The following items will help you keep your appetite under control, feel full longer, and will keep balance in your diet so you do not feel hungry all the time.
Foods high in fiber will keep you full longer, and they will help with digestion. Examples are: lentils, nuts, oatmeal, wheat and the majority of fruit and veggies.
These foods will suppress your appetite, increase your energy, and help with the repair, maintenance and growth of your muscles. Examples are: low-fat dairy products, fish, poultry (skinless), lean meats, eggs, nuts and beans.
Good Fats (in moderation)
We need fat to burn fat. This may sound contradicting if one of your goals is to lose weight. However, the reality is that good fats promote fat loss, and satisfy your appetite. Examples are: almonds, sunflower seeds, olive oil, guacamole, sardines, tuna and salmon.
